Elevated Storytelling through Striking Imagery

When stunning visuals are your brand’s value proposition, written case studies don’t tell the full story. That’s why, for Richardson Design, we created a multi-media storytelling experience that transformed their visual assets into immersive narratives, keeping prospects on the page three times longer than traditional case studies. Meet Perspectives, a unique content hub to tell visual stories.

Strategy: Platform Selection & Meaningful Categories for Content Marketing

We selected Shorthand as our storytelling platform for its "scrolly telling" capabilities, which combine engaging visuals with layered content formatting.

After collaborative ideation sessions with the client, we developed four distinct story categories:

  • Pitch Graveyard: Inventive projects from the cutting room floor
  • Client Story: In-depth narratives about client relationships and projects
  • Innovations: Thought leadership pieces exploring industry trends with data-driven insights
  • Mood Room: Creative explorations bringing mood boards to life through visuals & sound

Copy & Creative: Sharing Stories While Letting Visuals Shine

We collaborated closely with the client to establish each story's concept. We collected photography, renderings, testimonials, and other assets to build compelling narratives that:

  • Evoked emotional connections to Richardson Design spaces
  • Reinforced their "joy by design" philosophy
  • Highlighted functional considerations alongside aesthetic achievements

The collaborative process ensured we highlighted the brand’s strongest projects while organizing visual assets in the Shorthand layout for maximum impact.

With many Richardson clients in the restaurant industry, we leveraged our food and beverage experience to write with empathy for operator challenges, from labor costs to table turnover times.

  • Differentiated storytelling that set them apart from competitors

Results That Continue to Drive Impact

The results were immediate and measurable:

  • Time on page for Shorthand stories was three to four times longer than for standard case studies.
  • Users averaged three minutes engaging with each Shorthand story.
  • The platform’s creative approach positioned Richardson Design as a trend leader.
